As a Building Envelope focused Facilities Professional, you will play a crucial role in our Building Envelope Consulting team, utilizing your expertise to diagnose and prevent failures in various building envelope systems. Your primary focus will be on forensic investigations, where you'll determine the root causes of leaks and structural degradation in waterproofing, roofing, cladding, and glazing systems. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with architects and General Contractors to review construction documents, ensuring that envelope details comply with code requirements and manufacturer specifications. Your responsibilities will also extend to conducting on-site diagnostic tests and observing work in progress to maintain the highest standards of quality assurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field and up to 5 years’ experience in facility assessment. Or, in lieu of a degree, 4-9 years’ related experience.
Knowledge of building envelope systems, including waterproofing, roofing, cladding, and glazing technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and clients.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required for project needs.
