Job Description
Terracon is seeking a visionary Product Manager to help modernize the data architecture supporting engineering workflows and our Site Characterization Growth Plan. This role will lead the development of a centralized, AI-ready data architecture that enables efficient capture, management, and delivery of diverse engineering data streams. The Product Manager will serve a critical role in enabling predictive analytics, 3D modeling, and client-facing data products that drive operational excellence and strategic growth.
What you’ll do (responsibilities)
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain product roadmap for the build-out of new architecture, ETL, and systems integration for engineering operations data aligned to business growth plans and priorities.
- Data & Analytics: Partner with data teams to define requirements for curation, aggregation, and access to priority datasets. Ensure data is cataloged, discoverable, and available to the appropriate roles in partnership with the data governance team.
- Operations: Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to define outcomes, business processes, and data requirements for acquisition, management, and delivery of engineering operations data
- Governance: Coordinate security and governance requirements in partnership with the security and data governance team.
- AI Enablement: Lead value-focused experimentation of AI use cases, working with priority site characterization datasets to guide and establish curation and aggregation requirements.
- Value Management: Monitor and communicate data usage and business outcomes; publish executive dashboards; present to business and executive stakeholders to communicate value delivered.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Build trusted partnerships across Service Lines, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Applications, HR, Legal, and other business units.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or a minimum of 19 years of relevant experience instead of a degree.
Minimum of 15 years of business or system development experience, including 10+ years in project and/or product management.
Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale technology projects with significant data architecture components.
Excellent stakeholder management; clear communicator across a range of stakeholders, from executive to technical contributor level.
Nice to have
Experience working with AEC organizations, projects, data, and clients.
Successful Outcomes
Approved product roadmap with alignment from business stakeholders within the first 3 months.
Establish work management framework and CI/CD process for architecture build-out, ETL, and, stakeholder reporting within the first 3 months.
Identify key roles and responsibilities that will produce desired business outcomes and help to establish architecture teams within the first 6 months.
Stakeholder education and alignment, enabling stakeholders to communicate business outcomes and value delivery within the first 12 months.
