Job Description
Accelerate your career growth and development as National Account Division Champion for Terracon. We have two new positions to fill. One will support the Rocky Mountain division and the other will support the SouthEast division. Candidates need to live in the division they support, or within close proximity..

General Responsibilities:
As the National Account Division Champion you will support either the SouthEast or Rocky Mountain division. You will be responsible to actively search for new business opportunities within the division with a focus on leveraging local relationships to grow national accounts. Develop and foster long-term local client relationships for national accounts. Utilize contacts in appropriate professional organizations to network with potential client contacts and develop intelligence regarding the firm’s competition. Use networking contacts to develop leads and provide new projects from national accounts. Prepare marketing materials including qualification packages, written proposals and other client submittals.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Leverages personal and professional networks to build long-term client relationships through in-person engagement and strategic meetings with national accounts. Utilizes office staff to augment and assist as needed.
  • Facilitate strategy meetings for both client and major project pursuits.
  • Assists operations managers with the preparation and execution of division client development plans and programs for target National Accounts.
  • Utilizes professional networks and industry organizations to generate leads and gather competitive intelligence.
  • Reports on planned and proposed sales activities within his or her goals. May be accountable for generating specified volume of business within a pre-defined time frame.
  • Collaborates with others in corporate roles (National Account Managers, Sectors, Marketing) to coordinate client and project pursuits drive growth and profitability within the Division.
  • Assists on the development of proposals and recommend fees on some projects.
  • Utilizes the available business intelligence tools to seek the opportunities that present the highest chances for success.
  • Follows safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participates in pre-task planning. Reports any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Partners with the Director of National Accounts (DNA), Associate Director of National Accounts (ADNA), and Senior Client Development Manager (SCDM) for the division to identify key target National Accounts each year that align with division plans, spotlight sector clients, and common goals.
  • Leads a monthly sync call with the Director of National Accounts (DNA), Associate Director of National Accounts (ADNA), and Senior Client Development Manager (SCDM) to collaborate on strategy, action items, and results, measured with predetermined KPIs for the role.
  • Supports the growth of National Account revenue in other divisions by working with other Divisional Champions (once established) and other National Account Managers (NAMs).
  • Develops strategies and drives revenue for key National Accounts, with a focus decentralized accounts within the Division.
  • Works with Division key contacts to drive growth for Pod teams.
  • Assists Service Lines and Operations with resource identification and allocation on large projects within the Division.
  • Has at least 1 active National Account and participates in the Operational NAM program.
  • Assists National Accounts with tracking and following up on UR, WIP, and AR on target National Accounts within the Division.
  • Participates in Division Client Development calls, initiative calls, Pod calls, and other leadership calls, to be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the on-goings of the Division to capture potential opportunities for decentralized National Accounts.
  • Travels at least monthly for meetings with clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
