Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Terracon embarked on a business transformation journey with the implementation of Oracle Fusion applications, including HCM, EPM, ERP, and PPM. This program will modernize our systems, streamline processes, and empower our teams with the tools needed to drive innovation, efficiency, and future growth. An ERP Architect plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and governing the enterprise resource planning landscape for Terracon. Their responsibilities are both technical and strategic, bridging business needs with technology solutions. The architect will collaborate with the implementation partner to design the technical architecture, OIC configuration, and support Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions.
Optimizes the technology architecture used by software applications, whether developed in-house, by a consultant, or provided by a third party. Experiments with and prototypes new tools and approaches to determine which ones may improve developer productivity and/or reduce overall complexity. Is a resource to others regarding existing software, plans for new software, and industry trends overall. Working with others, constantly modernizes every system.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Expertise in Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, Projects and HCM Modules.
- Ensuring the integrity of both the ERP solution design and the wider end to end solution.
- Monitoring product roadmaps and quarterly upgrades to identify new capabilities valuable for the client's business or allowing process improvements.
- Drive standardization where feasible and minimize customizations.
- Assist business users during SIT(System Integration Testing), UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and Go live.
- Design, implement, and maintain the technical architecture for Oracle Cloud Fusion solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and integration with other systems, while also providing technical leadership and mentorship.
- Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the overall systems architecture.
- Work with product teams to guide the design of technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and software.
- Review, advise and design standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals.
- Contribute to the road map for each system, including (when known) technical or functional obsolescence dates
- Assist in the development of and manages an architecture governance process.
- Provide technical guidance and productivity tools to product teams.
- Develop and maintain architectural assets including security requirements, principles, standards, policies, reference architectures, models, blueprints, roadmaps, frameworks, patterns and services using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
- Research new technologies and demonstrate the use by developing proof of concept demonstrations.
- Work closely with cloud-native application architectures like PaaS, IaaS, microservices, containerization, serverless computing, API design.
- Develop, create awareness for, and monitor adherence to integration standards that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability.
- Track industry trends and maintain knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs.
- Contributing to solution support & change request process
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 10 years' relevant experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years' relevant experience.
- Eight years of applicable business or system development experience.
- Experience in implementing Oracle Fusion Financials, Project Management, EPM or HCM modules.
- Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure including OIC, VBCS, APEX and BIP.
- Knowledge of, and expertise in, multiple varied technologies and programming languages.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
