Job Description
The Director Product is responsible for defining where and how our digital products compete in the market. This role blends deep market insight with strategic product thinking to ensure we invest in the right opportunities, position our offerings clearly, and enable successful go to market execution.
The director focuses on market understanding, product differentiation, and long term growth, working cross functionally to translate insight into direction.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Competitive Intelligence
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, buyer behavior, and unmet demand
  • Define and refine customer segments and personas
  • Analyze market size, growth drivers, and industry trends
  • Maintain competitive landscape assessments, including positioning, pricing, and feature differentiation
  • Identify emerging threats, substitutes, and disruptive trends
Product Strategy & Portfolio Direction
  • Define product value propositions and strategic differentiation
  • Partner with Product Management to influence roadmaps based on market opportunity
  • Evaluate and prioritize initiatives using market impact, revenue potential, and strategic fit
  • Support build/buy/partner decisions with structured analysis
  • Contribute to long term product vision and multi year strategy
Go to Market Strategy
  • Define target markets and ideal customer profiles for new and existing products
  • Create positioning and messaging frameworks aligned to buyer needs
  • Collaborate on pricing, packaging, and offer design
  • Support launch planning, rollout sequencing, and market entry strategies
  • Enable Sales and Marketing with clear narratives and competitive guidance
Cross Functional Alignment & Executive Communication
  • Align Product, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership on strategic priorities
  • Translate complex market data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Present insights and options to senior leadership to support decision making
  • Facilitate strategy workshops and roadmap alignment sessions
Measurement, Learning & Iteration
  • Define success metrics for products and market initiatives
  • Monitor performance post launch and synthesize feedback
  • Identify gaps between strategy and execution
  • Recommend pivots, refinements, or investments based on results

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or technical field such as Engineering or Geology and a minimum of 10 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years’ related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
