Role Description:
This is a bold opportunity for a driven, self-motivated professional to take their career to the next level! Join one of the largest engineering consulting firms in the country and help us grow our presence in Iowa. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise and knowledge supporting Environmental, Facilities, Geotechnical and Material Testing Pursuits while growing our client base.
You will actively search for new business opportunities in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Corridor/Eastern Iowa market for the engineering consulting offices. You will actively coordinate with market sectors to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and grow our business. You will focus on client relationships with firms who work in these market sectors: Federal, Commercial, Healthcare, Manufacturing & Logistics, Power Generation & Transmission, Digital Infrastructure, Transportation & Infrastructure. You will utilize your contacts in appropriate professional organizations to network with clients and develop intelligence regarding the firm’s competition. In addition, you will use your network to develop leads and provide new projects from past, existing, and future clients. Finally, you will work in conjunction with other Client Development Professionals and Marketing Leaders for various client submittals.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for using his/her personal contacts to develop long-term client relationships.
- Spends time outside the office in direct contact with clients and prospects.
- Schedules meetings with existing and potential clients and bring along staff to augment Cx.
- Attend weekly Business Development meetings with the operations team.
- Utilizes the contacts in appropriate professional organizations to network with potential clients.
- Reports to Leader of Client Development activities, pursuits and proposals influenced.
- Collaborates with others in corporate roles (NAMs, Sectors, Marketing).
- Assists with organization and execution of professional trade shows.
- Utilizes the available business intelligence tools (CRM) to seek the best Cx.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ related experience. Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
