Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Field Facilities Professional will assist the Project Manager with performing field activities including but not limited to testing, quality assurance observations and assessments, and forensic investigations. Projects will vary between existing and new construction. Some prior experience and knowledge of building enclosure is preferred.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Entry-level Facilities professional; assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
  • Perform building enclosure field testing, including but not limited to:
    • Water penetration testing (ASTM E1105, AAMA 501.2, AAMA 502)
    • Air leakage testing (ASTM E783, ASTM E1186 ASTM E2178)
    • Adhesion and fastener testing
  • Conduct quality assurance observations and assessments of building enclosure installations, including:
    • Air barriers
    • Waterproofing and flashing systems
    • Roofing
    • Walls
    • Windows, curtain walls, storefronts, and penetrations
  • Document field observations, test procedures, and results through detailed field notes, photographs, and written reports
  • Identify installation deficiencies and communicate findings to project teams and supervisors
  • Assist in preparing field reports and summaries for clients and internal review
  • Coordinate testing activities with contractors, site personnel, and project managers
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration and safe operation
  • Follow company safety policies and project-specific safety requirements
  • Support senior staff with investigations, mock-ups, and forensic evaluations as needed
  • Assists and gains exposure to projects of greater complexity and scope.
  • Performs and sometimes oversees contract administration for small-to-medium projects.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma but preferred Bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field and up to 1 years’ experience in facility assessment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in hot and humid outside conditions.
  • Climb ladders, and carry testing equipment.
