Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Direct the operations of a region of engineering consulting project offices. Provide broad guidance to ensure the development and implementation of each office’s strategic and operational plans, growth and technical competence. Provide direction and expertise to the development of projects or clients. Monitor the operational and financial performance of offices.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of a region of multiple offices supporting multiple service lines with aggregate booked labor revenue exceeding approximately $23 million and approximately 180 employees or more. If region booked labor revenue is under $35 million, may also serve as the leader of an office(s).
• Develop and execute regional business plan; assist Operations Managers in developing short and long-range operating goals and objectives on an annual basis.
• Monitor the financial results of the offices and assist the Operations Managers in taking corrective action to accomplish financial goals.
• Work with Offices to grow in accordance with the strategic plan.
• Assist the Division Manager or Operating Group Manager in implementation of strategic plan components into the respective organization.
• Responsible for overseeing and providing direction to Operations Managers in the administration of the employee lifecycle (recruitment, hiring, performance management, salary administration, discipline, termination). Consult with Division Manager or Operating Group Manager.
• Monitor client issues assisting the offices with reconciliation and keep Operating Group Manager/Senior Management informed of any pending legal action.
• Provide direction and expertise to the development of projects or clients and ensure necessary resources are available to support marketing efforts.
• Provide development to Operations Managers.
• Lead, facilitate and communicate change to the organization.
• Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
• Communicates safety initiatives, rules and guidelines for Office or Region. Holds Managers and Employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practiced by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and 12 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years’ related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
