Job Description
What we do:
Terracon Consultants, Inc. is a 100% employee owned engineering consulting company. In our Materials Department, we test and inspect soils, concrete, asphalt, masonry, reinforcing steel, and other components for construction.

General Responsibilities:
As the central hub for the Denver Materials department, this position is responsible for the scheduling and dispatching services for 20+ field technicians. Assignments are based on technician skill sets, certifications, project needs, and priorities. Key responsibilities include:
  • Answer and manage incoming calls and dispatch technicians to precise locations based on qualifications and project requirements.
  • Prioritize projects and managing logistics (equipment, internal coordination) using sound judgment and negotiation skills when conflicts arise.
  • Maintain clear communication with technicians, managers, lab, clients, and contractors.
  • Coordinate daily schedules with the project management team to ensure efficient coverage.
  • Dispatch in an incident and injury free manner consistent with Terracon’s guidelines prioritizing employee well-being.
  • Use internal tools (e.g., Materials Dashboard, CMELMS, Project Exchange) to balance workload and optimize resource allocation.
  • Support office operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support scheduling and collaborate with other offices in the Front Range as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and report any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain quality standards across all assigned projects.
  • Resolve resource conflicts through effective communication and negotiation.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.
  • Ability to use technology (mobile apps, email, scheduling software, etc.)
  • Time management skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Interpersonal interaction skills
  • Multi-lingual preferred in some markets
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Terracon anticipates paying $24.00 to $27.00 within the hourly pay range for this position.
