Position Summary
Terracon is seeking a highly organized and motivated Operations Coordinator to support our growing Sioux Falls office. This position plays an important role in coordinating field staffing, supporting project administration, and assisting with day-to-day office operations.
The Operations Coordinator works closely with field technicians, project managers, administrative staff, and clients to help ensure resources are scheduled efficiently, project information remains organized, and office operations run smoothly. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and serves in a support and coordination role for the office and project teams.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Dispatching and Resource Scheduling
- Coordinate daily scheduling and dispatching of field technicians.
- Monitor staffing needs and adjust schedules to meet project demands and client commitments.
- Communicate schedule changes and staffing assignments to technicians and project personnel.
- Assist with workload planning and resource utilization.
- Work with project managers and the Department Manager to address staffing conflicts and scheduling priorities.
Project Support
- Provide administrative support for projects, including project setup, documentation, reporting, and change order tracking.
- Maintain project records and assist with document organization and distribution.
- Support project managers with project-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with data entry, tracking, and reporting within company systems.
- Help ensure project information is accurate, current, and readily accessible.
Office Administration
- Support daily office operations and administrative functions.
- Coordinate vendor activities, purchase orders, and office-related requests.
- Assist with employee onboarding and office asset tracking.
- Support fleet administration activities, including vehicle registrations and inspections.
- Assist with office events, compliance initiatives, and other operational needs as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in dispatching, scheduling, operations coordination, project administration, office administration, or a related role.
- Experience working with ERP, project management, scheduling, or resource planning software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and other business software applications.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
