Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Facility Asset Management (FAM) Consulting and Property Condition Assessments.
The primary focus of this role will be to perform as a team member on the Facility Asset Management Team within the Facilities Department. The FAM team is focused on helping our clients develop short- and long-term plans to manage the performance of their assets (buildings). This work includes performing Facility Condition Assessments, Quality Control of assessment data, performing analysis of data to determine requirements for repairs and building component replacements, and reports of this data in various forms. This work will be performed under the supervision of and in parallel with the Facility Asset Management Team Leader.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify building components and assess current condition using Uniformat II building component organizational structure. Ability to identify and assess, at a minimum, architectural building components such as building envelope and interior architectural components within Uniformat A, B, and C building systems. Additional ability to identify and assess the condition of conveyance, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical building components is preferred.
- A working understanding of Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) is desired. SMS is a software system that functions to track asset, inventory, and work needed to sustain the condition of buildings and life cycle asset management.
- Ability to travel primarily domestically to perform facility condition assessments for a minimum of a full week in the field at a time.
- Ability to adapt to and utilize technology that is used to collect data from field work.
- Work with the FAM Team Leader in performing quality control of data collected on various Terracon FCA projects.
- A high level of proficiency with Excel, Word, Microsoft Access, and Power BI is desired as much of the data analytics is performed using these tools.
- A working level of project management skills are needed to manage FAM project teams, budgets, work in progress, accounts receivable, and client management tasks. Terracon will provide additional Project Management Certifications and Training to formalize the credential of Project Manager; however, a basic level of working skills within these areas is required.
- A general capability of work proposal development and an ability to gather information to develop proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 15 years related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
