As the Due Diligence Group Manager, you will lead a team of staff completing all environmental due diligence projects in the Portland market and Pacific Northwest Region to ensure that high quality work is executed safely, on time, and in accordance with the client’s requirements. You will get the opportunity to collaborate with regional and environmental service line leadership to develop and implement a Growth Strategy and Operations Plan with the goal of expanding the Due Diligence practice. In this position, you will also have the opportunity to lead the daily operations of a growing team, including safety, staff training & development, career development, quality of services and work product, timely delivery of services and deliverables, and overall quality and client experience.
- Lead safety efforts for your team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safety-first mindset and safe work environment.
- Lead responsiveness and client satisfaction, ensuring that the team takes a wholistic, advisory approach to consulting clients across the lifecycles of their projects.
- Participate and lead client and business development activities with support from the Regional Environmental Services Team, Client Development Specialists, and Marketing Professionals.
- Lead and oversee proposal efforts and work capture, including pricing strategies.
- Develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection and onboarding with support from the Regional Environmental Services Team.
- Prepare and execute growth strategy and annual business plan for the practice with support from the Regional Environmental Services Team.
- Oversee and manage operational success including revenue growth, staff chargeability/utilization, and project profitability.
- Develop strong understanding of project-related risk. Be familiar with identifying risks and an advocate for developing ways to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and 10 years of professional experience completing:
- ASTM Standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Phase II ESAs
- Transaction Screens
- Records Search and Risk Assessments
- Environmental Compliance Assessments
- Familiar with Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Site Remediation Program
- Familiar with the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Program
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Certification or licensure in field of expertise.
