This position is for a field engineer position in our Plymouth, Minnesota office within the Regulatory Compliance Group. This position will have a primary focus of assisting team members with regulatory compliance tasks. This includes opportunities to support our interesting array of industrial clients and being part of the team that provides ongoing consulting services at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.Primary tasks to be performed include assisting clients with projects involving:
  • Air Permitting & Compliance
  • Industrial Wastewater Permitting, Sampling & Compliance
  • Stormwater Permitting & Compliance
  • SPCC Plan & SWPPP Preparation
  • Hazardous Waste Compliance
  • SPCC Plan Preparation
  • SARA Title III Reporting
  • Field Work Support & Assistance
This position will work with other staff members to prepare engineering calculations, permit applications, technical reports, and compliance evaluations. In addition, this position would be a contributor to the project team supporting the Minnapolis-St. Paul International Airport including, stormwater compliance sampling and reporting, aircraft deicing fluid monitoring and management assistance, and construction project soil screening and sampling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
In this role, specific responsibilities will likely include:
  • Coordination with other staff and clients on project tasks
  • Design assistance on control and process related projects
  • Preparation of air emission calculations
  • Spreadsheet creation for compliance tracking
  • Preparation of permit applications
  • Review of issued permits to determine required compliance actions
  • Review of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Preparation of compliance reports for clients
  • Pilot testing and design of remediation systems
Essential Skills/Abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Working knowledge of Autocad preferred
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of consulting experience.
License/Registration
Valid driver’s license with acceptableviolation history.


The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Minimum $68400 - Maximum $95800
