We are hiring an experienced Driller / ETM 4 to lead field drilling operations on geotechnical and environmental projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled operator who wants consistent work, reliable equipment, and the ability to take ownership of projects without the constraints of a union environment.

Drilling & Equipment Operation

· Operate and manage drill rigs using auger, mud rotary, and coring methods

· Perform field testing and support subsurface exploration activities

· Safely transport drill rigs and support equipment to and from job sites

· Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment production-ready

Crew Leadership

· Lead a 2–3 person crew with full responsibility for daily field operations

· Train and mentor junior team members with a focus on safety, efficiency, and skill development

· Take initiative in solving field challenges independently

Field Execution

· Set up sites, locate utilities, and establish drilling locations

· Install monitoring wells, piezometers, and other instrumentation

· Adapt to changing ground conditions and keep projects moving efficiently

· Handle tools, materials, and samples safely and effectively

Documentation & Quality

· Complete daily drilling logs, field reports, and DOT requirements

· Classify soil and rock samples in the field

· Maintain accurate and organized project records

Safety & Planning

· Lead daily safety discussions and pre-task planning

· Identify and address jobsite hazards

· Ensure all work meets company safety and quality standards
