Omaha, NE | Terracon

Ready to lead meaningful projects—and still have room to grow?
At Terracon, we’re looking for a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager / Engineer who wants ownership of their projects, direct client interaction, and a clear path for continued professional growth. If you enjoy solving real-world construction challenges, supporting teams in the field, and seeing your work make a visible impact on communities, this could be a great next step.
We’re hiring for our Omaha Construction Materials team, where collaboration, technical quality, and safety come first—and where experienced professionals still get room to grow.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll manage construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to make sure projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on budget.
You’ll:
  • Manage moderately complex construction materials projects and client relationships
  • Review construction plans and specifications and verify compliance in the field
  • Analyze and interpret laboratory and field test data
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets
  • Track project progress and communicate findings and recommendations to clients
  • Mentor junior staff and support field personnel
  • Partner with senior project managers on larger or more complex projects
  • Participate in business development and client relationship-building efforts
Projects may support public works, transportation, commercial, energy, industrial, or communications infrastructure.

Why Terracon?
  • Career growth: Learn from senior PMs and take on increasing responsibility
  • Project variety: Work across industries and project types
  • People-first culture: Safety, collaboration, and professional integrity drive how we work
  • Community impact: Be part of projects that visibly improve the places where people live and work

What Helps You Succeed
We’re open to a range of backgrounds and encourage conversations—even if you don’t check every box.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in construction materials, testing, or related services
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred (but not required):
