In this role you will be responsible for managing all activities related to the company’s 401(k) / ESOP Plan, including tracking transactions and communications associated with the individual company stock program.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
401(k)/ESOP:
- Reconcile bi-weekly prevailing wage and payroll files to ensure contributions and 401(k) loan payments are accurate before submission to the record keeper.
- Ensure employee 401(k) election changes are submitted to Payroll and changes are adjusted in ADP in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure new hires indicated via HR records are submitted to the 401(k) vendor in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understand the design and features of the 401(k)/ESOP program.
Stock:
- Prepare and distribute annual company stock offering materials to employee owners. Document purchase decisions made by employee owners, specifically related to Terracon stock.
- Upload stock transactions into the tracking software (Shareworks).
- Record the repurchase of shares for employee owners who terminate or elect an in-service distribution.
- Maintain accurate stock repurchase and share activity records.
- Understand the design and features of the stock program.
Other:
- Coordinate with HR, legal, payroll and other departments as needed for the 401(k)/ESOP and stock plan administration inquiries (e.g. new hire information, etc.).
- Maintain and edit intranet page ensuring accurate information is updated and available to employee owners.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance and at least 3 years of experience, preferably with at least 1 year of experience with 401(k), Treasury, and Stock responsibilities. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven years’ experience.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Excel and data manipulation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
