Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, developing, analyzing, executing and reporting all test initiatives required to validate software applications. Executes risk-based testing, develop test automation, performance testing, test data management, and test environment management. Document and perform all levels of testing including warranty and post release support. Work closely with the development and product teams to develop and execute the test plans, scripts/cases, track test data, identify expected results and log/facilitate bug resolutions. Experience and understanding of the stack of testing and development tools.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- As a senior member of the testing team, provide leadership to other Testers and serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting.
- Plans, conducts and analyzes a wide range of complex projects, including software quality tests to ensure application products and services meet organization and quality standards and end-user requirements.
- Efficiently executes risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, security testing, test data management, Load testing, test environment management, continuous integration and continuous deployment to improve the speed of delivery for our business partners.
- Creates and executes test automation using tools and techniques for end to end testing, regression, and or feature level testing.
- Optimizes test automation throughout the application stack and tools to support testing.
- Validates test results, records and researches defects. Provide feedback to software development team on defects.
- Design benchmarks, test cases, and testing framework.
- Document well-defined software testing procedures for various applications.
- Work with various product teams to coordinate testing across multiple impacted applications and environments.
- Review requirement specification documents to gain a functional understanding of the application(s). Participate in meetings verifying the testability of requirements or user stories.
- Identify and report project risks.
- Ensure team adheres to quality standards through communications and reporting.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and help manage project priorities and timelines.
- Create and execute performance tests on agile lines supporting project delivery. Conduct exploratory testing inside or outside of the iterations.
- Update or enhance test automation tools to ensure all the application features are tested.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field and a minimum of 5-7 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years’ related experience.
- 5 to 7 years’ software testing or development experience.
- Experience with various testing tools, scripting languages, application software and operating systems.
- Experience with Performance and Load testing tools.
- Experience in developing or working with any programming language is preferred.
- Demonstrates hands-on experience with test data management and test environment strategy creation.
- Agile experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
- Automation Testing, preferably Tosca.
