Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, developing, analyzing, executing and reporting all test initiatives required to validate software applications. Executes risk-based testing, develop test automation, performance testing, test data management, and test environment management. Document and perform all levels of testing including warranty and post release support. Work closely with the development and product teams to develop and execute the test plans, scripts/cases, track test data, identify expected results and log/facilitate bug resolutions. Experience and understanding of the stack of testing and development tools.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Experience developing automated test cases using Tricentis TOSCA.
- Thorough knowledge of automated testing design, Data driven test development techniques, Object recognition, and Test validation.
- Creates and executes test automation using tools and techniques for end to end testing, regression, and or feature level testing.
- Creates, conducts and analyzes a wide range of software quality tests, test plans and scripts to ensure application products and services meet business needs, quality standards and end-user requirements.
- Ability to transform business test cases into automated test coverage and to analyze technical and non-technical requirements and translate both manual and automatable scenarios.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define automation test strategies and test plans.
- Strong communication skills to assist other team members with test design, test approach, testing, story requirement clarification.
- Works with Software Tester III to efficiently execute risk-based testing, test automation, performance testing, security testing, test data management, Load testing, test environment management, continuous integration and continuous deployment to improve the speed of delivery for our business partners.
- Works with product teams to gather and analyze requirements and incorporates necessary changes into testing.
- Participates in product demos.
- Validates test results, records and researches defects. Provide feedback to software development team on defects.
- Assist in documenting well-defined software testing procedures for various applications.
- Document, track, and resolve software bugs or defects with help from the product teams.
- Update or enhance test automation tools to ensure all the application features are tested.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field and a minimum of 3-5 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ software testing or development experience.
- Experience with various testing tools, scripting languages, application software and operating systems.
- Experience with Performance and Load Testing tools.
- Experience in developing or working with any programming language is preferred.
- Demonstrates hands-on experience with test data management.
- Agile experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
- Automation Testing, preferably Tosca.
