Job Description
General Responsibilities:
The Senior Marketing Business Partner leads the marketing development within the western part of the United States for Terracon, which covers the states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. This individual is a member of the national (corporate) marketing team and one of three marketing business partners that report to the CMO. They are 100% dedicated to elevating the marketing team within the region around best practices for pursuit development, event strategy, research, digital marketing practices, and other responsibilities. The role is both strategic and hands-on, meaning time is spent in supporting marketing professionals with the development of marketing communications materials as well as proposal and pursuit execution, while also providing guidance to elevate marketing programs within our offices. Their role is key to marketing excellence and consistency across the company, working with senior leaders and regional directors within the region and the CMO to support the development of marketing expertise and capabilities.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with marketing and client development teams, connecting staff and advising on tools, best practices, and available resources (this includes marketing tools and collateral, public relations, CRM enhancements, and digital campaigns).
  • Serves as the marketing leader who oversees the consistency efforts in Operations. Key areas include quality control, onboarding strategy, training and resources, overall marketing structure, and leadership development.
  • Communicates growth strategies and marketing tactics developed for growth areas (sectors and services) at the national level to be adopted by our regions and local offices where applicable. Be a thinking partner for marketing professionals and senior leaders in the region.
  • Partner across the corporate marketing and communications department to engage resources and support in the areas of digital, PR, graphic design, etc, so that we can bring those resources into operations in a helpful and strategic manner. Facilitate and provide direction to the graphic design team to prioritize, plan, and produce impactful materials.
  • Partner with Operating Group client development teams regarding priority major pursuit strategy including activities, proposals, interview coaching, strategic national team connection, and mentoring. Ensure deadlines are met with a high level of quality. Engages APRs/SMEs, ASLDs, Finance, Legal, Safety, etc. on major pursuits at their onset.
  • Can train, coach, and mentor teams on coordinating a war room, building the pursuit team, establishing team goals, and managing the team to increase our chances of winning major pursuit projects.
  • Collaborates with Operations leadership teams to develop and drive marketing plans that align with regional business and growth plans.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and quality reviewer in developing and strategizing for pre-sell materials, statements of qualifications, presentations, etc.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects and processes. Monitor quality standards and practices.
  • Serve as a champion for all initiatives affecting client development and marketing.
  • Stays at the forefront of the latest research, trends, and industry topics and combines that knowledge with research training, tools, and resources to provide regional market data in the region.
  • Organize, communicate and track national thought leadership and award efforts.
  • Facilitate and provide direction to the graphic design team to prioritize, plan, and produce impactful materials.
  • Develop an understanding and be aware of project-related risks. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
  • Assists the M&A team with marketing perspectives and leads the marketing-specific tasks of the integration plans of acquisitions into their region.
  • Lead safety efforts for the team and ensure the team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promotes pre-task planning for all projects.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must be located within one of the states in the western territory above.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related degree and 12 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years’ related experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer
This position has been categorized as a "Remote Only" position. “Remote Only” employees do not have a designated workspace at an office, and typically work from home or another location.

The national standard salary range for this position is $101,200-$156,900. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
