This position can be filled in our corporate office in Olathe, KS or remotely.
Our safety team is looking to add a Safety & Compliance Support person to the team. In this role you will provide essential administrative support to Terracon’s safety and compliance programs. You will be responsible for coordinating documentation, scheduling, and communication related to medical surveillance and drug screening. The position ensures that all records and processes align with company, regulatory and client requirements, while also serving as a backup for other safety administrative functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist operations with the scheduling and tracking of medical exams, and drug and alcohol testing for random, post-incident, and client-required screenings.
- Coordinate with third party vendors to ensure timely service delivery of scheduling of medical exams and drug testing services.
- Manage drug and alcohol random pools in compliance with regulatory and client requirements, including communicating random selections to operations management and validating completion by deadlines.
- Track and update DOT driver qualification files, including medical certificates and drug testing results.
- Prepare and provide timely reports to offices and other corporate departments.
- Serve as backup for other safety administrative safety tasks.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre[1]task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience supporting safety, compliance, or HR functions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing confidential records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems for data entry and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Preferred familiarity of OSHA 1910/1926 standards and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Preferred experience in clinical or laboratory environments supporting annual physicals, drug testing, and occupational health services.
