The HCM Architect will partner with business stakeholders, implementation consultants, technical teams, and enterprise architects to design, implement, and support scalable Oracle Fusion HCM solutions. This role will provide expertise across HCM business processes, system configuration, integrations, reporting, security, data conversion, and overall solution architecture.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM and the ability to translate business requirements into sustainable, scalable, and secure Oracle Cloud solutions.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and support Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM solutions, with responsibility across key areas including Core HR, Workforce Structures, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, and related HCM capabilities.
  • Define and support end-to-end HCM business processes, including Hire-to-Retire, workforce management, employee lifecycle, compensation, talent, and organizational management.
  • Provide functional and technical architecture leadership for Oracle Fusion HCM implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and implementation teams to understand requirements, identify process improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into scalable Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Lead solution architecture and design activities, including configuration, integrations, reporting, data conversion, extensions, security, and performance, while determining when to leverage standard Oracle functionality versus custom solutions.
  • Design and oversee end-to-end integrations between Oracle Fusion HCM and internal or external applications using OIC and other Oracle integration technologies.
  • Review functional and technical specifications for RICEF solutions and provide guidance to development, integration, and implementation teams.
  • Provide architectural oversight for HCM data conversion and migration, including data mapping, validation, transformation, and migration strategies.
  • Design and review Oracle Fusion HCM security architecture, ensuring appropriate roles, privileges, data access, and security practices.
  • Provide expertise in HCM reporting and analytics, including OTBI, BI Publisher, and HCM Extracts.
  • Lead or support CRP, SIT, UAT, deployment, production readiness, and post-production support activities.
  • Analyze and resolve complex functional and technical issues, providing recommendations that consider business impact, scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business analysts, developers, integration teams, application support teams, implementation partners, and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise HCM solutions.
  • Establish and maintain architecture, integration, development, security, and governance standards, including reference architectures, integration patterns, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the HCM technology roadmap and evaluate Oracle quarterly updates, new capabilities, emerging technologies, technical debt, and system dependencies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance, mentorship, and architectural direction to product, development, and application support teams.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field and 10 years of relevant experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Eight years of applicable business, systems development, or enterprise application experience, with significant Oracle experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing, architecting, and supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, with demonstrated expertise across both functional and technical aspects of the platform.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HCM business processes, including Hire-to-Retire.
  • Experience across multiple Oracle Fusion HCM areas, including Core HR, Workforce Structures, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, and related HCM capabilities.
  • Experience designing and implementing Oracle Fusion HCM integrations using OIC and other Oracle integration technologies.
  • Experience with HCM Extracts, HDL, REST/SOAP APIs, Fast Formulas, OTBI, and BI Publisher.
  • Experience with RICEF solutions, data conversion and migration, security, and Oracle Fusion HCM architecture.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-based application and integration architecture.
  • Experience leading solutions through the full implementation lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, testing, deployment, production support, and collaboration with implementation partners and cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud architecture principles and the ability to recommend configuration over customization where appropriate.
  • Experience with Oracle quarterly updates, including impact assessment, testing, and adoption of new functionality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams, with strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
