Job Description
General Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing Technology (MarTech) is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, adoption, and management of Terracon’s marketing technology stack to drive marketing performance and achieve business goals. This position understands marketing and sales practices and collaborates with IT, operations and sales staff to build, drive adoption, and maintain a Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform as well as other digital platforms. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, communication skills, and technical expertise to align technology with marketing, sales, and business objectives.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and adoption of the overall MarTech strategy, create roadmaps, and ensure alignment with business, marketing, and sales goals. Ability to translate MarTech requirements into scalable, integrated solutions that align with business goals. Martech systems include everything from CRM to marketing automation, analytics, the company website, internal platforms connected to CRM, and project management software, etc.
  • Work closely with teams across the business to ensure technology supports and aligns with their efforts. Must be able to work as a collaborator and consultant for operations marketing, client development, business sectors, service lines, and national accounts to build functionality that connects and serves in ways that are consistent and flexible to meet the needs of the various parts of the organization.
  • Create capabilities and integrate into business processes that increase the success for change and adoption. Create feedback loops that helps us implement requests that make sense for the organization to better embrace, adopt and utilize the marketing platforms. Enable employees to use systems through the building of frameworks, templates, and playbooks to create standardized delivery that is scalable throughout the organization (ability to lead workshops and trainings as needed).
  • Ability to work across teams as well as overtime build, mentor, and manage a team of MarTech professionals.
  • Oversee, organize, and present the various decisions, tasks, and accomplishments to executives, operations, operations, operations, operations development, marketing, and client development organization.
  • Provide systems strategy for e-commerce, online lead generation, and other opportunities to sell services and products online.
  • Determine and measure metrics/KPIs to drive business within the company. Validate KPIs with our operations, service lines, business sectors, and national account program.
  • Build relationships with our vendors and consultants. Oversee the selection (demos), integration, and optimization of MarTech tools such as CRM, marketing automation, customer data platforms, content management systems, and analytics platforms. Communicate successes, challenges, and needs for the future.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in marketing technology, including AI (GenAI and agentic) to drive marketing journeys, personalization, and campaign optimization, and introduce new technologies to enhance marketing and sales capabilities. Foster a Culture of Innovation and Agility: Promote a team environment that values adaptability, experimentation, and proactive problem-solving, thus enabling teams to respond to evolving tech and business needs.
  • Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
  • Communicates safety initiatives, rules, and guidelines for Office. Holds Managers and Employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, or a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in MarTech, digital marketing, sales management, or related experience. Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years’ related experience.
  • Proficiency with MarTech tools like CRMs and marketing automation and sales tracking platforms, as well as a strong understanding of data flows and integrations.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, leadership, project management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
