Job Description
Senior Industrial Hygienist

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Industrial Hygienist to lead and manage a team of industrial hygiene professionals. This role is responsible for overseeing environmental assessments and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to asbestos, lead, and mold. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to health and safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial hygienists and technicians.
  • Oversee and conduct comprehensive assessments for asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other occupational/environmental hazards.
  • Develop and implement sampling strategies, exposure assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Review and approve technical reports, abatement plans, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, HUD, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies on project requirements and timelines.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices and regulatory updates.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial hygiene and environmental consulting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos, lead, and mold regulations and assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data management software.
Preferred Experience/Certifications:
  • Experience with indoor air quality assessments and exposure monitoring.
  • Familiarity with laboratory analysis methods and interpreting analytical results.
  • Asbestos and Lead certification for inspector, risk assessor, designer, and trainer
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Fieldwork may involve exposure to hazardous materials and environments.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and pass medical surveillance requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
