- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Lead and/or supervise pre-task planning efforts. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor and promote quality standards and practices.
- Provide consistent quality standards per Terracon's quality manual on all proposals, projects, and deliverables.
- Career level, fully competent engineering professional with responsibility for managing detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
- Independently perform a variety of projects or selected segments of larger projects.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects.
- Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
- Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity across WA State and the Pacific Northwest region.
- Perform quality control review of proposals written by others.
- Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
- Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
- Interact directly with client and project team on developing scope of services, communicating project progress and findings and recommendations.
- Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
- Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
- Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
- Work under the supervision of a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
- Begin documented mentoring and application process for Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification.
- Professional Engineering license in Washington State
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Civil Engineering industry.
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
Minimum Salary: $102,840.00
Maximum Salary: $159,360.00
The salary range for this position is provided in compliance with all local/state regulations. Terracon considers factors including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate work experience, work location, education/training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
