For this opportunity, our new employee-owner will support developing new opportunities on vertical and horizontal projects for both public and private clients for our environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials testing service lines. This opportunity is for an experienced Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry marketing professional who will be responsible for leading our Intermountain Region marketing strategy and team, along with identifying business opportunities critical for Terracon’s growth and success in the region.

Responsible for leading and supporting a national engineering consulting firm's marketing and communications strategy focused on the Intermountain Region (Utah, Idaho, and Montana). Consult the local offices on business plan strategies to support proposal development, event coordination, public relations, and digital communications. Partner with corporate marketing to create and update promotional collateral and execute marketing plans. Strategize, plan, and participate in local and regional trade shows/conferences and lead project interview preparation. Develop expertise with, and help drive usage of, our Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
· Lead marketing and communications strategy, capture planning, and proposal development.
· Development of regional marketing plans that align with business growth goals and plans.
· Collaborate with project managers and/or pursuit champions to plan, coordinate, design, edit, and produce strategic, high-quality RFP/RFQ submittals.
· Lead market, competitor and client research efforts.
· Manage and actively participate in the event planning and organization of trade shows/conferences/community involvement/client appreciation gift campaigns.
· Maintain, utilize, and champion CRM efforts.
· Provide support for miscellaneous marketing requests and firm initiatives.
· Ability to lead and empower a marketing team, encouraging growth, accountability, and high-quality work.
· Provides consistent support to the team, particularly in navigating interpersonal and cross-functional situations.
Responsibilities· Position will sit in either Salt Lake City, Boise or Great Falls. This position requires in-person, in-office work and travel.
· Experience in the AEC industry, with an understanding of its clients, timelines, and proposal expectations.
· Strong grasp of proposal strategy, including the importance of client-specific, differentiated content.
· Experience leading a team with direct reports is desired.
· Strategy-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize initiatives.
· CPSM certification desired, not required.
· Knowledge of how to complete an SF330.
· Strong experience with Microsoft Office (required) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
· Experience with a CRM system is desired.
· Social Media/Public Relations experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing preferred, or related degree and 6 years experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign).
- Strategic and critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the six SMPS Domains of Practice.
- Strong knowledge of digital technology and ever-advancing communications and organizational tools.
- Strong quality control and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
