Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring and providing on-site project oversight and maintaining a company presence for all assigned projects. Work closely with project team to ensure that projects meet or exceed client expectations and testing and inspection is performed according to established procedures and standards. Adhere to strict safety standards.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the resources and employees on all assigned projects to ensure completion based on statement of work and contract.
- Visit each project site at the onset to create a set-up clipboard and to establish communications with project team.
- Monitor project and check-in on a bi-weekly basis.
- Review reports and track non-compliant reports through resolution.
- Ensure testing and inspections are completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
- Review project budget at least 2x/month with Terracon management and coordinate on timely communication with client at designated budget milestones as directed by Terracon management.
- Review plans and specifications, identify testing and inspection scope of work, and understand manpower needed to complete work.
- Provide training to employees assigned to projects, as necessary.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in construction inspection and testing.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Certified inspector or engineering technician in multiple disciplines with good working knowledge and expertise in inspection and testing.
