As a Structural Project Engineer, you'll be a key member of our Houston Engineering Diagnostics team, utilizing your expertise in structural engineering to provide diagnostics and innovative solutions. - Conduct comprehensive structural engineering diagnostics, identifying potential issues and providing detailed reports.
- Offer expert guidance and innovative solutions for construction material-related challenges, ensuring project success.
- Collaborate closely with the project team, fostering a cohesive environment for timely and accurate engineering service delivery.
- Maintain effective client communication, translating complex engineering concepts into clear and concise explanations.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and trends in structural engineering, incorporating new knowledge into project work.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of forward-thinking engineering solutions, driving innovation within the team.
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and standards, maintaining the highest level of structural integrity.
- Provide mentorship and support to less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
- Engage in business development activities, building and nurturing client relationships to enhance Terracon's reputation.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas (PE) is a mandatory requirement.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field is essential.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering diagnostics is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials and their properties is crucial for this role.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset are key qualifications.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software, such as RISA 3D, is preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for client interaction and team collaboration.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously is highly valued.
