This position is remote, so can be filled in any location. Ideally, close to an airport and a Terracon office
The successful person will develop and foster long-term client relationships, utilize contacts in appropriate professional organizations to network with potential clients and develop intelligence regarding the firm’s competition, use networking contacts to develop leads and provide new projects from past, existing and future clients and prepare marketing materials including qualification packages, written proposals and other client submittals.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of large scale, national programs for Power Generation & Transmission clients. Responsible for growing business with current clients and bringing new ideas to the table on how to expand into other markets.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and setting initiatives for company-wide programs for the service line or business sector services which may include laboratory services and geotechnical data.
- Serve as a project manager and subject matter expert for projects related to the above initiatives; coordinate resources from across the company.
- May assist in new client development and working with existing clients to promote services.
- Implement initiatives based on established strategy provided by service line or business sector; provide recommendations for future strategy.
- Provide technical leadership on key projects; when needed be responsible for the overall project and performance.
- May participate in large project client pursuits, as needed.
- Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
- Communicate safety initiatives, rules and guidelines for office or region. Hold managers and employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and 12 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years’ related experience.
- Strong environmental or engineering consulting and client development background with a specific area of environmental or engineering expertise.
- Experience in client engagement, proposal writing, and commercial agreements.
- Obtain Authorized Project Reviewer status by Terracon within one year.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) designation.
The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Minimum $152900 - Maximum $237000
