Terracon’s College Station office is seeking a Staff Scientist to join our Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) team. In this position, you will oversee all aspects of Phase I ESA projects, from initial research to report delivery, ensuring high-quality work that meets client expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Essential Roles & Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Manage and execute Phase I ESA projects from start to finish.
- Conduct thorough site inspections, historical research, and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate Phase I ESA reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related science field.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Knowledge of ASTM E1527-21 standards and environmental due diligence practices.
- Exceptional grammar, technical writing, and research skills.
- Ability to analyze complex information and present findings clearly.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with strong client service skills.
