Summary
Terracon is seeking a motivated Communications Intern to support our regional and corporate marketing teams. This role provides hands‑on experience in content creation, internal and external communications, event planning, and brand support within a fast‑paced professional services environment.
Content Creation & Marketing Support
- Draft internal and external communications including social media content, project capsules, and employee spotlights.
- Assist in formatting PowerPoint presentations for thought‑leadership opportunities.
- Help prepare visual materials for campaigns and events.
- Support storytelling efforts by collaborating with marketing, technical staff, and leadership.
- Assist with LinkedIn messaging, internal campaigns, and event‑related social media content.
- Help track content performance metrics, award submissions, and communication deliverables.
- Support planning and coordination of marketing and communications‑related events, including:
- Conferences
- Career fairs
- Annual Meeting pre planning
- Speaking engagements
- Office celebrations or employee engagement activities
- Assist with logistics such as scheduling, preparation of materials, on‑site support, photography coordination, and post‑event follow‑ups as needed.
- Help maintain event checklists, timelines, and promotion schedules.
- Organize shared files, update master resumes, maintain tracking spreadsheets.
- Support CRM updates, reminders, and post‑event follow‑up coordination.
- Participate in editorial calendar planning and team brainstorming sessions.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, and social media basics preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Interest in event planning, visual communication, and digital engagement is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience in communications, marketing, and event execution.
- Opportunities to collaborate with internal stakeholders across the region.
- Exposure to digital content strategy and brand storytelling.
- Real‑world experience supporting communications efforts within a national professional‑services firm.
