Summary
Terracon is seeking a motivated Communications Intern to support our regional and corporate marketing teams. This role provides hands‑on experience in content creation, internal and external communications, event planning, and brand support within a fast‑paced professional services environment.



Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Marketing Support
  • Draft internal and external communications including social media content, project capsules, and employee spotlights.
  • Assist in formatting PowerPoint presentations for thought‑leadership opportunities.
  • Help prepare visual materials for campaigns and events.
  • Support storytelling efforts by collaborating with marketing, technical staff, and leadership.
Social Media & Digital Communications
  • Assist with LinkedIn messaging, internal campaigns, and event‑related social media content.
  • Help track content performance metrics, award submissions, and communication deliverables.
Event Planning & Execution
  • Support planning and coordination of marketing and communications‑related events, including:
    • Conferences
    • Career fairs
    • Annual Meeting pre planning
    • Speaking engagements
    • Office celebrations or employee engagement activities
  • Assist with logistics such as scheduling, preparation of materials, on‑site support, photography coordination, and post‑event follow‑ups as needed.
  • Help maintain event checklists, timelines, and promotion schedules.
Project & Administrative Support
  • Organize shared files, update master resumes, maintain tracking spreadsheets.
  • Support CRM updates, reminders, and post‑event follow‑up coordination.
  • Participate in editorial calendar planning and team brainstorming sessions.



Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office, and social media basics preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Interest in event planning, visual communication, and digital engagement is a plus.
