Job Description
Terracon is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Facilities Service Line, supporting commercial facilities projects with a focus on roofing systems, building enclosures, and waterproofing. This position is well‑suited for a professional who can manage projects from planning through construction while leading field teams and maintaining strong control over scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as Project Manager for facilities‑related projects involving:
    • Roofing systems (low‑slope and steep‑slope)
    • Building enclosure components (walls, flashings, air and vapor barriers)
    • Waterproofing systems (below‑grade, foundations, plaza decks, and podiums)
  • Plan, execute, and track project tasks, schedules, and deliverables
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management
  • Review and manage:
    • Contractor submittals for compliance with project documents
    • Requests for Information (RFIs) and coordinate responses with internal and external stakeholders
    • Pay applications, including verification of quantities, percent complete, and recommendations for approval
  • Provide construction phase services, including field observations, quality control, and coordination with contractors
  • Lead and support field teams, ensuring work aligns with project requirements, safety standards, and schedules
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal technical staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Support closeout activities, including documentation review and final reporting
Required Qualifications
  • Experience managing commercial (non‑residential) facilities projects
  • Demonstrated experience with roofing, building enclosure, and waterproofing systems
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and construction administration processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience leading teams in the field and coordinating with contractors
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • IIBEC certifications (e.g., RRC, RRO, RWC)
  • Experience with facilities condition assessments, capital planning, or remedial construction support
