Are you looking to launch your engineering career with hands‑on field experience and meaningful project work? Terracon’s Facilities Service Line is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Facilities Engineering Technician to join our Building Enclosure team in Oklahoma, Southern Missouri, or Western Arkansas.
This is a great opportunity for new graduates or early‑career professionals who want to build technical skills, work alongside industry experts, and support a wide variety of client projects. Experience in building design, building enclosure or building science is helpful — but not required. We’re ready to train the right person.
What You'll Do:
As a Facilities Engineering Technician, you’ll support consulting, field testing, and diagnostic services for building enclosure systems across multiple markets. Your work will include a blend of field and office responsibilities, such as:
- Assisting with field investigations, observations, and inspections.
- Assisting with engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations.
- Supporting the preparation and review of technical reports.
- Reviewing construction practices and installations for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Researching and resolving design and construction challenges.
- Reviewing and evaluating field or lab data
- Communicating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
You’ll work on projects across sectors including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
Potential Career Growth:

What We’re Looking For:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or architecture (or related field) or 2-3 years of relevant construction experience - new grads encouraged to apply
- Interest in building science or building enclosure systems
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and willingness to learn
- Comfort with both field and office work
- Ability to travel regionally within the Midwest (OK, MO, and AR)
- Comfort with elevated heights
- Comfort and ability to ascend ladders and scaffolding
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
