Job Description
General Responsibilities: Terracon is looking for an accomplished and dynamic leader to join our team as a Regional Transportation Practice Lead. In this role, you will have an opportunity to build and lead a high-functioning regional team, while driving business development and growth strategy Terracon’s North Georgia Region. Develop relationships with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), civil engineering firms performing work for GDOT and other state, county, and local transportation agencies. Lead transportation-related project pursuits and prepare proposals and cost estimates. Provide high level geotechnical engineering and consulting services for regional transportation related projects and clients. This may include performing and/or leading engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations, observation and inspection, and the writing, preparation, and review of related geotechnical engineering reports for transportation services. Review and oversee review by others of drawings and construction to assure compliance with plans and specifications. Research and resolve design and construction problems. Assign, review, and evaluate laboratory or field data for inclusion in reports. Apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
