Job Description
General Responsibilities:
We are seeking a qualified wetland scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will conduct wetland and stream delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, meet with regulatory agencies, and prepare technical reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to environmental conservation. Must have the ability to wok on multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Developing level scientific professional responsible for conducting analyses of component portions of projects; assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
  • Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.
  • Wetland and stream delineations: conduct thorough wetland and stream delineations in accordance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices. Prepare detailed reports documenting delineation findings.
  • Conduct assessments for protected species
  • Analyzing data
  • Must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
  • Assist more senior scientists/project managers
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum 1 year related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
