In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Conducting industrial hygiene work including facility assessments and surveys to sample, quantify and analyze building materials for various hazards within air, water, building materials, and/or soil.
  • Identifying, evaluating and recommending risk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Preparing applicable risk assessments and technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence.
  • Designing work plans and specifications for the management or removal of asbestos, lead or other regulated materials including environmental protection and engineering controls required for each specific application.
Projects may include asbestos, lead, microbial and other industrial hygiene sampling, assessment, and reporting.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Responsible for conducting analyses of component portions of projects; assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
  • Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan and permit projects.
  • Implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities.
  • Outline required investigative program(s) by selecting the proper alternative techniques to conduct site studies in field of expertise.
  • Draft written proposals to clients for small projects and may assist with portions of proposals on larger projects.
  • Expected to maintain client relationships and serve as primary contact pertaining to specific projects and/or tasks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related science field.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ related experience. Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 11 years’ related experience.
  • Certification in field of expertise.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Minimum $82400 - Maximum $127700
