General Responsibilities:
Diagnose and develop repair/restoration solutions for the built environment. Projects are primarily facility and property condition assessments and may include detailed evaluations and test building systems. Assessment techniques include visual examination, document review and take-offs, and estimation of capital projects. Some projects may include non-destructive testing, instrumentation and load testing, laboratory testing, and destructive examinations. Client deliverables range from reports of findings and recommendations to development of restoration design documents and construction oversight/administration.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Career level Facilities professional responsible for independently managing and executing projects.
- Plans, schedules, conduct and/or coordinates facility and property assessments, inspections, data collection and testing.
- Assists in preparation of client proposals, cost estimates, as well as routine and complex client deliverables.
- Serves as advisor to junior-level project team members.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field and 5-7 years’ experience in facility assessment. Or in lieu of a degree, 9-11 years’ related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to read as built / construction documents and perform take-offs.
- Experience using tablets and other electronic mobile devices.
- Ability to travel.
The expected salary range for this position is listed below. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
$70300 - $98400 annually
