YOU’LL GET TO:

• Investigate sites and collect data
• Design stream restorations
• Design dam projects and perform safety inspections
• Analyze sediment transport
• Investigate water resources
• Perform hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) and flood modelling
• Design stormwater management
• Apply resilience principals
• Process wetland and waterway permits
• Assess and restore watersheds
• Assist with grant applications and management

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering preferred. Will also considered allied professional (Environmental Science, Biology, Geomorphology, Hydrology, Landscape Architecture, Ecology, equivalent work experience, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WANT:

• 0 to 3 years of experience
• Experience in (or willing to learn) field reconnaissance, survey equipment operation, drone operation, data collection, and data analysis
• Course work or willingness to learn stream restoration, AutoCAD, H&H modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, SWMM, etc.), floodplain studies, dam design, stormwater management design, and the permitting and approval process.
• Willing to learn or experience in construction observation and oversight.
• Willing to learn or experience in use of software for hydrology, hydraulics, drafting, presentation, and routine office administrative tasks
• Writing and verbal communication skills
• Willingness and ability to occasionally travel and work overtime
