Job Description
General Responsibilities:
A Field Facilities Professional (FFP) position is responsible for the following duties and tasks:
- Field Work and Physical Abilities:
Field personnel are required to work in all weather conditions as projects and scheduling demands. This can include upper and lower temperature extremes.
Field work includes the operation of aerial lifts and platforms and the use of ladders and scaffolding.
Fieldwork also includes, but is not limited to, working in open air, below-grade excavations, and confined spaces.
Fieldwork always requires extreme situational awareness by the individual, team, on-site personnel, and the public.
Field assessment techniques include, but are limited to, visual examination, non-destructive testing and use of various testing equipment, and selective destructive examinations.

Reviewing plans, specifications, and project submittals is required. Experience in building envelope systems is desired.
Roofing, waterproofing systems, window and door products, and exterior cladding systems and practices.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Entry-level Facilities and professional assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
- Assists in performing assessments, inspections, and testing.
- Assist in preparing reports, plans, specifications, calculations, and research.
- Assists and gains exposure to projects of greater complexity and scope.
- Performs and sometimes oversees contract administration for projects.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- Works under the supervision of a Senior Facilities Professional/Project Manager.
- A bachelor’s degree in building science or related building field is desired, and 0-5 years experience in design and/or construction trades. Or, in lieu of a degree, 4-9 years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
- Drug testing is required to obtain employment.
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
