Job Description
The Safety Department at the corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS is currently seeking a new team member to help with administrate duties . This very busy position will be responsible for tracking various safety reports, tracking safety compliance, DOT regulations, etc. In addition to the functions listed above, you may also performs administrative and general office duties of a responsible and confidential nature. Produce a variety of correspondence, reports and presentations using the appropriate software for word processing, graphics and spreadsheets. Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries and coordinates related arrangements. Routes or answers routine inquiries. Maintains files, department office supplies and mail. Prepares special reports. Gathers and summarizes data. May serve as a liaison between office and corporate functions. May be assigned to various functional areas of the company.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:

  • Independently researches and obtains information for complex reports and special assignments including analyzing data and report preparation.
  • Analyzes complex problems, compiles and analyzes data and prepares reports.
  • Composes, prepares, edits and proofreads letters, reports and other correspondence.
  • Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.
  • May handle calendaring, travel arrangements and coordination of day-to-day activities.
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
