Job Description
General Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely collections for an engineering consulting firm.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
• Under general supervision, performs and manages collection activity and persistent follow-ups on assigned portfolios of accounts receivable invoices.
• Carry out all functions necessary to bring about the prompt resolution of a problem, and/or facilitate payment of a past due invoice.
• Participate in meetings with department, office, and project managers for collection updates and other issues.
• Provide proactive recommendations to Office managers and Division managers about future collection activity (including whether to escalate items to Legal, third-party agencies, or sending demand letters).
• Assist in the training of new office staff and with training of new acquisitions.
• Special Projects as directed by Credit/Collections Supervisor or Manager.
• Act as a liaison to corporate attorney regarding Collections issues.
• Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
• Some college education preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ collections related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and comprehend instructions regarding billing statements, financial and collections information.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
