Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Terracon's Midland, TX office is seeking Project Office leader. This person will provide leadership to manage staff and the lab to provide Construction Materials services for local projects. This person will report to its parent office manager. Detailed essential roles and responsibilities are shown below.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee a small office supporting projects. Office will be located in Pecos, TX.
• Evaluate and monitor workloads in the office personally and via project managers and oversee employee supervision and development.
• Review contracts and proposals prepared by proposal leader and coordinates with technical experts including to no-go evaluation.
• Contribute to projects via technical expertise, project management skills, etc.
• Meet regularly with your supervisor to update on status of office safety metrics, financials, staffing, backlog, etc.
• Responsible to maintain client contacts and will coordinate with client development and marketing staff to develop new relationships.
• Develop understanding and be aware of project related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.
• Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrate safety practices. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
• Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Monitor quality standards and practices. Engage APRs and SMEs on projects at their onset.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ practice experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years’ related experience.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

• Certification or licensure in field of expertise.
