Explore with us! Terracon is growing in Southern California and is seeking a Marketing Specialist in our SoCal Region! We provide best-in-class consulting services on exciting projects including bridges and highways, hospitals, airports, commercial and government buildings, educational campuses and even aquatics facilities. You will work with an experienced team of Client Development Managers and other marketing specialists on strategies and approaches to pre-planning and developing specific market sectors, project types and corporate initiatives. You’ll develop and maintain marketing materials and programs including, but not limited to, proposals, advertising, press releases, direct email/mail, social media, conference and tradeshow strategy, exhibits and promotional materials. Your creativity and eye for detail will be put to use!
  • This position is based in Southern California and occasional travel between the Colton, Laguna Hills and Los Angeles offices may be required. Counties include; LA, OC, SD, and IE.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in regular marketing meetings with managers, supervisors, and others that contribute to executing the client development plan in the office.
  • Helps develop proposal strategy and theme, and works with senior staff to identify differentiators and team.
  • Develops the graphics needed for proposals, collateral, and other deliverables
  • Works directly with senior level technical staff to prepare proposal materials, including writing, editing, verifying and formatting proposal information.
  • Ensures that the various aspects of the proposals (Brand Line, key messages, technical scope, staff qualifications and experience, biographical data, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate, timely and well written.
  • Leads the preparation, design, and production of materials for proposals and presentations.
  • Manages the lead review process including researching capital improvement programs, master facilities plan, planning department agendas and other resources to help identify opportunities in advance of RFP release.
  • Leads the process of editing and customizing professional and technical staff resumes, tailoring content to match proposal/qualification requests and related documents.
  • Organizes client development events, collateral, and tradeshow registration and booth rental.
  • Writes new pieces and edits such items as resumes, project descriptions and management plans of proposals to support the specific message.
  • Assists with Major Pursuits, supporting Team Leader and/or Marketing Manager
  • Works with pursuit teams through all phases of the process; including developing pursuit strategies through the use of Project Capture Plans
  • Follows safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 2 years’ marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 4 years’ related experience.
  • Experience with MS Office, Adobe Software (Creative Suite preferred)
  • A/E/C industry experience required
