The successful candidate will lead the Charlotte office to marketing success through the development of marketing materials and programs including but not limited to statement of qualifications, advertising, press releases, direct email, social media, conference and tradeshow strategy, exhibits, and promotional materials. Must be able to work independently to develop strategic content and collaborate with engineers, scientists, senior leaders, and the marketing team.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Read, understand, organize, and lead client-specific SOQ/proposals by creating strategic SOQ packages.
  • Reviews technical sections with technical staff and review/edit their narrative for content clarity, compliance, and key messages.
  • Ensures that the various aspects of the proposals (brand, key messages, technical scope, staff qualifications and experience, biographical data, etc.) and other marketing materials are accurate, timely and well written.
  • Lead strategy meetings with senior leaders and technical staff to aid in client acquisition
  • Maintains strong and clear communication with technical staff, marketing team, and senior leaders.
  • Write new pieces and edit resumes, project descriptions and management plans of proposals to support the specific message.
  • Research and gather information for proposals and presentations to include resumes, forms, etc. and format and edit content, or rewrite as necessary to meet the needs of the project.
  • Prepare and support the technical staff for project interviews.
  • Use Pursuit Project Plans to organize information, deadlines, and action items for office pursuit teams.
  • Perform outside market research activities on client and project pursuits to deliver new information to the team to increase knowledge and win strategy.
  • Organize and maintains a content library of resumes, project descriptions, photographs, standard narratives, and submitted SOQs/proposals.
  • Plan and execute events and trade shows with strategy and a strong mindset for ROI.
  • Provide data entry for CRM and vendor forms.
  • Maintain quality standards on all marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing, communications, and design departments to maintain brand integrity.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related degree and 4 years’ marketing and communications experience. Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, 8 years’ related experience.
  • Experience with MS Office, Adobe Software, specifically InDesign (Creative Suite Preferred)
  • Experience with SF-330 forms and SF-254 forms.
  • Experience with online marketing communication systems (Constant Contact) is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with digital marketing (social media) is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience with event planning is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
